Lowering the cholesterol is not an easy task, it requires a lot of discipline especially in the intake of your food. For many of us who do not have a dangerous case regarding cholesterol, we are not advised to take drugs to lower it. We should just do the natural ways in reducing cholesterol by having a regular exercise. Take time to choose a comfortable work out for you. If you choose to workout indoors you can choose among new treadmills or do some elliptical workout. With these activities, and a balanced diet, you can take control of your cholesterol.

Another intersting thing to note is that Sea Vegetation (i.e. Kelp, Seaweed) contain a substance called fucoidan, which has been shown to lower blood cholesterol levels. There are also a number of minerals, including selenium and chromium, that have been shown to be deficient in those with high cholesterol. Sea Vegetables contain highly bio-available minerals in a food form that the body can very easily absorb and use.

This is brilliant, i've been looking at ways to naturally lower my cholesterol in the last couple of months since it went up due to my taking Roaccutane for my skin. Its quite normal for cholestrol to go up when taking this drug, and it was quite normal before so I guess its just a temporary situation while I still take the drug.

Indeed it's better not to use any statins if you don't really need to. The lifestyle change with some diets and exercises can change the cholesterol levels a lot.
If the natural way of reducing cholesterol is not an option because it's dangerous for the condition of somebody, the advise should be to take some Co enzyme Q10. This will reduce the side effects of the statins great time. Greatfully their are more often doctors who will tell this

No doubt that 80% of prevention to avoid the bad cholesterol is through diet and regular exercise. Possibly the hardest aspect is to avoid red meat, but over time is an habit that can be changed
